I’m a middle aged lady with children, grandchildren and stepchildren, in fact, all types of children! love working in my local newsagents, reading, cats, cinema and general slobbing on the sofa (plus an occasional glass of vino) with my fiancé ! Growing up and living in Ballymena Co. Antrim, I watched motorsports with my Grandfather and went to Stock Car Racing with my Mother.
When my then-partner, Stephen ‘Jack’ Mcilvenna took me to road races i enjoyed it immensely. He later became a road racer, his dream realised, winning the 2009 Junior Manx Grand Prix. Since his passing in August 2014 during practice on the mountain, I work with the Injured Riders Welfare Fund as they were a great help to myself and Jack’s family. This invaluable help is immediate and long-term for lots of riders and their nearest and dearest.
